To promote and advance science and technology in a wider region of Karnataka, KAAS decided to set up chapters in different parts of the state. Initially, a chapter was established at Davanagere on 8.9.2022. Plans are afoot to establish more in the near future.
The Davanagere Chapter of KAAS was instituted at Davanagere University, Davanagere with the following office-bearers:
- President: Dr. D.B. Kumbar, Vice-chancellor, Davanagere University
- Secretary: Prof. Shishupal, Professor of Biotechnology, Davanagere University
- Treasurer: Prof Eswarappa, Head, Department of Physics, Davanagere University
The new chapter has 20 faculty members as its life members.
